Hair Care Tips for Tape-In Extensions
Keep your tape-ins looking flawless and lasting longer with these ESSENTIAL care tips:
- • Wait 48 hours before washing: After installation, avoid getting your hair wet for at least 48 hours to allow the adhesive to fully bond.
- • Use sulfate-free products: Choose gentle, sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners to protect the adhesive and maintain hair health.
- • Wash in a downward motion: Always wash your hair in one direction—never flip your head upside down—to prevent tangling or loosening the tapes.
- • Avoid oils near the roots: Keep oils, serums, and conditioners away from the roots and tape tabs, as they can cause slipping or break down the adhesive.
- • Brush gently and regularly: Use a wide-tooth comb or extension-safe brush starting from the ends and working your way up. Hold the roots as you detangle to avoid pulling.
- • Sleep with care: Wrap your hair in a silk or satin bonnet, or braid it loosely before bed to prevent matting and tangling.
- Heat style with caution: While our extensions can handle heat, always use a heat protectant and avoid applying direct heat to the tape area.
